This policy explains what personal data Nelson For The Work collects when you use this website, why, and what your rights are. If anything here is unclear, email james@nelsonforthework.com and I'll explain it properly.

What I collect

When you submit the contact form, referral form or onboarding questionnaire, I collect whatever you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, website, and details about the project you're enquiring about. Nothing is collected beyond what's on the form.

If you accept analytics cookies (see below), Google Analytics also collects standard usage data: pages viewed, approximate location from IP address, device/browser type, and whether you clicked to call, email or WhatsApp me. This isn't tied to your name or contact details unless you've also submitted a form.

Why I collect it

To respond to your enquiry and follow up about a possible project
To keep a record of enquiries in a CRM, so nothing gets lost or forgotten
To understand which pages are useful and where the site could be improved

I don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Who your data passes through

Form submissions are processed using a small number of trusted tools, all of which only see the data needed to do their specific job:

Airtable — stores enquiry details as a simple CRM record
n8n (workflow automation) and Gmail — used to send you a confirmation email and notify me of your enquiry
Google Analytics — anonymised-where-possible usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies
Netlify — hosts this website

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as they're useful for following up with you, or for the duration of any working relationship if you become a client. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just ask.

Cookies

This site asks for your consent before loading any analytics cookies — see the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent to Google Analytics. Your consent choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a tracking cookie.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask to:

See what data I hold about you
Have it corrected if it's wrong
Have it deleted
Know who it's been shared with

To exercise any of these, email james@nelsonforthework.com. If you're not satisfied with how a request is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
